I did not have a way to test the gun before buying it but this gun looked good and felt great in my hands so I bought it. When I got home with it, I loaded it and every now and then it would hang up. Other than that it shot good. The 522 has better sights and is heavier which doesn't make it any more mechanically accurate, but it sure as heck helps the shooter feel more accurate. It is also easier in my opinion to take down and clean than the marlin which equates to shooters that are more inclined to keep it clean, thus making it more reliable.Model 81. Model 341. Model 512.
